This course is a comprehensive study of the earth and it's inhabitants.  It is designed to produce "earth-saavy" students with an understanding of the Earth's resources.  

The course objectives for EAS III students are

To develop a functional understanding of the science of Ecology

To understand the relationship between humans and the environment

To develop a realistic and practical understanding of environmental conservation

To be able to differentiate between environmentalism and environmental science

Required Materials

Book: Environmental Science: A study of Interrelationships by Enger and Smith (9th Edition)

Two composition books (One for labs and one for classroom notes)

Standard PPE

Goggles

Latex Gloves

White Apron

Basic hand tools

Volunteer Requirement
All students will be required to complete 45 hours of community service per semester in order to complete the course in one of the following areas

Recycling

Pollution Prevention

Affordable Quality Housing

Sick-Building Syndrome

The Completion of this project will compose 25% of your final grade
