WHB Super Weekend provides 5
different ways to interact with AYA
Educational Institute. It typically starts
on Friday with the Araminta WHB
Story. It continues all day Saturday with
4 additional segments. Some enjoy the
entire 5 course meal, others select from
the menu. You choose.
Sometimes we present the Araminta
Harriet Tubman Warrior-Healer-Builder
story for different organzations and
groups seperate from the super
weekend.
WHB stands for
Warriors, Healers, Builders
Some are elated, some irritated, some outright insulted
about the announced Tubman/Jackson $20. Regardless of
your position, we have an obligation to control the
narrative. The power is in the story! Will her image evoke
our commitment to collective freedom? Will it inspire us
to heal, build & fight against real oppression today, or
induce us to bask in the illusion of inclusion? It’s really
up to us. Come. Learn. Enjoy, then join the national
movement to tell her story from the inside-out! We can’t
do this alone.

(Starting at the Mavell Road Trailhead)

7 am - 10 am - We're out while it's cool and back before the July sun can
make us wish for fall. We celebrate IDA B. WELLS-BARNETT when
we're done! The celebration will include excerpts from IDA's Speeches,
snippets from her life, lesson plans for teaching about her, and more.
We'll also focus on IDA's lessons for us today!
