How to calculate Glycemic Load
To calculate a foods glycemic load, the amount of carbohydrate in a serving of food would be multiplied by that food's GI.
For example, a ½ cup serving of carrots(which contains 8 grams of carbohydrate) has a glycemic load of about 10 (8 x 131%,or 1.31 = 10.48).
